In January 2025, Café PA•TRI•CIAN opened in Asakusa with the concept of “Green+ Sound,” offering lush, living greenery and soothing music to quench the thirst for a calm refuge from urban life.
At the heart of the café stands a symbolic tree, the Ficus Ginseng, also known as the “Tree of Happiness.” It carries a heartfelt wish to bring joy to all who visit. The café takes its name from the Patrician 700, a vintage speaker by the U.S. company Electro-Voice. Weighing over 100kg each, these extraordinary speakers debuted in 1960 as the “Music Lover’s Dream” and today are quite rare and continue to captivate audiophiles with their exceptional sound quality. Together with a Yanagisawa tube amplifier all who visit may enjoy the sound of the legendary Patrician 700 along with other vintage audio systems, from a variety of analog records and streaming options. . Additionally, the café will occasionally host live performances of jazz and classical music, as well as genre-defying music events such as R&B nights, creating a rich musical experience for adults.
Come and escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and unwind after a day of sightseeing or work. At Café Patrician, the green plant life and soothing music offer a moment of true relaxation and together with a variety of guilt-free, delicious food and beverage options that nourish both the mind and body.
Café PA•TRI•CIAN is a sophisticated botanical café for adults, where nature and music come together to create a place to escape, relax and dream.
At Café PA•TRI•CIAN, the plants are thoughtfully arranged along glass surfaces for a reason. In addition to their stress-relieving and relaxation benefits, the greenery helps to reduce acoustic reflections off the glass, ensuring a sophisticated and pureaudio experience.
